The route continues along the green trail, through the region’s historic villages, until it reaches the Schwarzenberg Canal. During the rainy season, a significant portion of the green trail leading to the sloping and relatively unknown section of the Schwarzenberg Canal, located below its confluence with the Světlá River, transforms into a jungle adventure. The circuit features three abandoned villages that offer a poignant glimpse into the complex history of the Czech-German border region. These villages include Rychnůvek pod Pasečnou, Muckenschlag and Horní Úreš. You can prolong this route with two short treks, which must be walked back and forth on the same path to return to the original circuit. The first includes the extinct German village of Rychnůvek, where a church was blown up in 1959. In this meticulously preserved location, visitors can observe the remnants of St. Wenceslas Church, the ruins of a former school, and several gravestones, remnants of the original cemetery. The second trek leads through the deserted village of Muckenschlag (you will find a memorial on the right side) to the recently restored section of the Schwarzenberg Canal. Cross the footbridge over the canal to reach a historically valuable boundary stone from 1788. After resting on a bench right on the state border, you must return and continue past the viewpoint and the abandoned village of Horní Ureš to the guesthouse.
