Böhmen Runde cycling route | Czech loop

The new mountain-bike route “Czech Loop” is an exciting cross-border project between Austria and Czechia. This varied route runs along picturesque natural trails and connects the municipalities of St. Stefan-Afiesl and Přední Výtoň! A special highlight of the route is the idyllic Lipno reservoir, known not only for its beauty but also for its many opportunities to rest. In addition, the route leads to the ridge of the Šumava, where you can admire the impressive Vítkův Hrádek castle (Burg Wittinghausen) at Svatý Tomáš. Along the way, cyclists can enjoy delicious specialities of Austrian and Czech cuisine, making this tour a culinary experience. With a total length of 56 kilometres and 1,150 vertical metres, the “Böhmen Runde” is ideal for a day trip and offers an exciting challenge for beginners and experienced mountain bikers alike.
