Blue trail through Vítkův Castle: Vítkův Castle, the highest in the Czech Republic, stands at an altitude of 1,053 metres ASL. En route to your destination, you will pass a natural spring, the beautifully renovated Schwarzenberg Forest House and the pilgrimage chapel of Corpus Christi in the village of Svatý Tomáš. In clear weather conditions, the Austrian Alps, with the Grosser Priel, Dachstein and Watzmann massifs, can be seen from the observation tower within the ruins of the Gothic castle. Visitors can also enjoy a magnificent view of the Vltava valley and the Bohemian countryside. The yellow trail, which winds its way around the abandoned villages of Linda and Pernek, through picturesque meadows and forests, and back through beech forests and peat bogs in a deserted landscape, is a must-see at any time of year. Depending on your preference for a longer or shorter route, the route can vary. During the winter months, the cross-country skiing option is recommended.
