Outdoor schools and sports camps
Our guesthouse is located in a pristine natural setting near Lipno nad Vltavou, near the Austrian border. In addition to the guesthouse with a restaurant, the property’s grounds include an outdoor clubhouse and a volleyball court in pastures and wooded areas. Its strategic location and well-designed layout make it an ideal venue for various educational and recreational activities, including school trips, adaptation courses, skiing, cycling, and water sports training. The guesthouse is on a spacious, fenced property with a grassy area and a volleyball court. During the summer, there is an opportunity to engage in outdoor activities such as barbecuing and sitting around a fire. The property includes an outdoor clubhouse with a fireplace and seating for social gatherings. In addition to walks in the woods and sports games on the premises, from spring to autumn, guests can enjoy hiking and cycling (the guesthouse is located at the intersection of two cycle paths and a yellow-marked hiking trail) and a wide range of water sports at the nearby Lipno Dam or on the Vltava River. During winter, the nearby Lipno nad Vltavou and Sternstein resorts in the Czech Republic and the Austrian Hochficht resort offer downhill and cross-country skiing opportunities. Moreover, in cold months, the well-maintained Lipno reservoir offers excellent skating and cross-country skiing opportunities.
Schools in nature
The guesthouse offers 22 rooms, accommodating up to 76 guests, with the option of additional beds. The property offers double and quadruple rooms, some of which are equipped with balconies.
These rooms are practically furnished and include a bathroom, television, and in some cases, a sofa and refrigerator. The complex also includes a dedicated area for storing bicycles and sports equipment and a basement for storing skis and ski boots. The building is equipped with amenities such as a table tennis and pool table, a room with board games, and a library.
We offer the use of a sauna. The restaurant offers half board and full board, and the facility can also be used as a classroom during your stay. The menu is customised to suit the age and nutritional needs of the children, and snack packs can be prepared for field trips.
Lunches can be arranged directly at the ski resorts in the Czech Republic and Austria during ski courses.
Sports camps
Our guesthouse is strategically located near Lipno nad Vltavou and in close proximity to the Austrian border. Its strategic location and layout make it an ideal venue for sports stays, particularly for cycling, running, skiing, and water sports.
The region boasts a comprehensive network of designated cycling routes that traverse the Šumava countryside, complemented by a robust tourist infrastructure. This blend of natural beauty and well-developed amenities is poised to satisfy a diverse range of cyclists.
The landscape’s diversity and hilly terrain will be a welcome change for mountain bikers, while road cyclists will appreciate the quality of the roads and low traffic.
The guesthouse is strategically located directly on a cycle path, providing convenient access to various routes in the area. This location is particularly advantageous as it is connected to other routes in Lipno, Austria, and the Šumava Mountains. The low traffic volume on this well-maintained, narrow road in a wooded area is also an ideal setting for roller skiing.
The area’s topography, which includes hills, hiking trails, and deep forests, makes it an ideal destination for runners and hiking groups. During the winter months, the nearby resorts of Lipno nad Vltavou, Sternstein, and Hochficht (FIS ski slope) offer skiing opportunities, while the Schöneben cross-country skiing area provides access to trails connected to the Šumava cross-country skiing trail.
During the winter months, the Lipno reservoir is a popular destination for skating and cross-country skiing due to its well-maintained facilities. In close proximity to the guesthouse are two notable cross-country ski trails: the panoramic Sankt Stefan-Afiesl trail and the Aviva hotel’s circuits. We are currently exploring the possibility of connecting these trails to our property, which we anticipate will be realized in the near future.
During the summer, the Lipno area is an ideal destination for water sports enthusiasts. The reservoir offers a variety of recreational activities, including rowing, yachting, windsurfing, and kiteboarding. The Vltava River is a popular destination for kayaking and canoeing activities.
Families and friends
If you plan to celebrate a milestone birthday or class reunion, consider hosting your event at our venue. We will take care of accommodation (capacity for up to 76 people) and refreshments. Depending on the number of guests, we can provide a separate lounge or reserve the entire restaurant for you. Alternatively, you can use a less formal clubroom with a fireplace, which is located in a separate building. You can also rent the space without service if you want more privacy and/or provide your own refreshments. We are also pleased to offer event coordination services, including decorations and a programme.
