We have something for everyone who loves nature and outdoor exercise. We are located at the crossroads of hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing trails. As a hiker, you will especially appreciate the change of terrain and interesting stops along the way. Take a nice hiking trip through the landscape of the Šumava border region with beautiful views, park at our place in Pasečná and follow the round markers through the empty nature trails. They will gradually lead you to the highest castle in the Czech Republic, ancient border stones, the Schwarzenberg Canal or the chapel with holy water.
Summer season
Hiking in Pasečná: Nature enthusiasts and those who enjoy outdoor activities will find plenty to enjoy here. Our location is strategically positioned at the intersection of hiking, cycling, and cross-country skiing trails. Hikers will especially appreciate the varied terrain and interesting stops along the way. We invite you to experience a pleasant hike through the Šumava borderlands, where breathtaking vistas will greet you. Please proceed to Pasečná, where you will find designated parking areas. Following these, we kindly direct you to follow the signs that will guide you along secluded nature trails. The tour will guide you to the highest castle in the Czech Republic, ancient border stones, the Schwarzenberg Canal, and a chapel with holy water. Hiking trails: Six circular trails are marked with coloured circles leading directly from the guesthouse. Please select the option that best suits your needs; we have designed them specially with your requirements in mind.

ROŽMBERK CASTLE
Rožmberk Castle was constructed in the 13th century and is one of the oldest castles belonging to the Vítkovci noble family, who were the ancestors of the noble Rožmberk family.
SLIDE LAND TRACK LIPNO NAD VLTAVOU
The Slide Land track in Lipno nad Vltavou is a perfect year-round attraction for those who prefer active leisure.
DEVIL’S WALL
The Devil’s Wall is one of South Bohemia’s most renowned and popular rock sites. Spanning approximately 10 hectares, a wild cliff strewn with chaotically piled granite boulders stretches over the deep Vltava valley.
CHURCH OF ST. TOMAS
The Church of St. Thomas is located a short distance from the village of Pasečná and can be easily reached by car, on foot or by bike.
SCHWARZENBERG CANAL
The Schwarzenberg Canal connects one of the tributaries of the Cold Vltava with the Austrian river Grösse Mühl, which is a tributary of the Danube.
